Auto Glass Services in The Bronx , NY

Your vehicle’s glass does far more than block wind and rain. The windshield, for example, plays a major role in your vehicle’s structural integrity and overall safety system. In many vehicles today, the windshield helps support the roof during a rollover accident and allows airbags to deploy properly.

Even a small chip or crack can spread quickly, especially with New York’s temperature swings, potholes, and stop-and-go traffic. That is why it is important to have damaged glass inspected as soon as possible.

Auto Glass Repair vs. Replacement

Not every damaged windshield needs to be replaced. In some cases, very minor chips or cracks can be repaired before they spread further. Our technicians carefully inspect the damage and recommend the safest and most cost-effective solution for your vehicle.

If the damage is too severe, a full replacement is necessary to restore safety and visibility. At Hunts Point Service Station , we handle both repairs and complete replacements with top-quality glass products and professional installation.

Certified Training and Quality Auto Glass

Our auto glass technicians in The Bronx , NY , receive extensive training to ensure every installation is completed properly and safely. The Hunts Point Service Station team is certified through expert training programs from Sika Corporation and our trusted urethane adhesive supplier, as well as additional internal training.

We continue to stay current with manufacturer service bulletins and evolving vehicle technology to properly service newer vehicles with advanced safety systems and specialized windshield requirements.

Modern vehicles often include features connected to the windshield, including:

  • Lane departure warning systems
  • Rain sensors
  • Forward collision warning systems
  • ADAS cameras and sensors

Proper installation matters even more with these systems in place.

We see that commercial vehicles and fleet drivers often face additional risks due to high daily mileage. Our team works on personal vehicles, work trucks, vans, and fleet vehicles alike. We also accept all major auto insurance. Feel free to contact us directly to learn more.

As a full-service auto repair facility, we can also inspect related issues that may affect visibility and safety, including windshield wipers, electrical systems, mirrors, and more.

How to Improve Your Car’s Gas Mileage? Here are some of the things you can do to ensure improved gas mileage for your car: Driving Habits Keep your car clean. Mud on the undercarriage can weigh a significant amount and slow you down. Consolidate your daily trips and errands. This will also save you the cost of restarting your engine, which uses a lot of gas. Avoid air conditioning when possible. However, when driving at higher speeds, having your windows open also creates drag. Don’t throttle the gas or brake pedal! Sudden starts or stops use more gas than gradual changes in speed. Don’t idle for too long. Turn off the engine if you anticipate a lengthy wait. Limit car warm-ups in winter. Clear out the trunk. More weight equals more drag. Avoid high speeds. We know this is almost impossible to resist but you can improve your gas mileage by up to 15 percent driving at 55 mph rather than 65 mph. Use overdrive. If your car is equipped with overdrive gearing use it as soon as your speed is high enough. Use cruise control. Maintaining a constant speed is ideal for improving your gas mileage. Servicing Your Vehicle Replace the spark plugs in your engine regularly. This way, the air and fuel mixture will burn cleaner and more efficiently. Improve the intake/output system. By allowing gas to get in and exhaust out of your vehicle you will improve the vehicle’s overall performance and gas mileage. Reduce friction. Use high-quality or synthetic motor oil. Check your oil! Low oil makes your engine work harder. Change your filters. Dirty filters can sometimes increase the amount of fuel your vehicle uses by as much as 10 percent. Keep tires properly inflated and aligned. Check regularly to ensure your wheels are fully inflated and your alignment is good. Get regular engine tune-ups and car maintenance checks. A lot can go wrong with a car. Damaged spark plugs or transmission problems can also contribute to poor gas mileage.
